The city of Munich is apparently considering a switch back to Windows due to “numerous complaints” about Linux. Munich had decided a switch to Linux for the city administration’s IT infrastructure in 2003. The project, dubbed LiMux, was completed in December 2013.
The deputy major is saying that his party CSU (Conservatives) was of the opinion that the whole project was only started to take revenge on a monopolist company. The third major is an SPD (Labour) politician, she is supporting LiMux. The city council is also on her side.
